Group Rides
Group rides will leave at the below locations and times all year long! Please arrive a little early to get signed in and get your bike ready to roll! Sign-in sheets each week will include the HAMR liability and release waiver.
Sending a Junior (under age 19 in the state of Alabama) to one of our group rides? A parent/legal guardian will need to come with them to check them in, or send them with a printed, signed copy of the below waiver:
Mondays
Recovery & Brews (R&B) Rides
The Monday Night Recovery and Brews (R&B) Rides happen all year long, catering to riders of all skill levels!
April through August: wheels roll at 6:00 PM from the Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot ($5 or an annual pass required)
September and October: wheels roll at 5:30 PM from Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access to Redstone required, lights highly recommended)
November through March: wheels roll at 6:00 PM from the Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot ($5 or an annual pass required, and lights required)
Tuesdays
TNKR
The Tuesday Night Kids Rides (TNKR) meet at Monte Sano State Park starting in June through July (after the school year ends and before the new one begins). Wheels roll at 5:30, get there around 5:15 for route options and details. Sweet treat after each ride! Look for weather calls on our social media platforms. Thursdays
Thursday Group Ride
The Thursday Rides happen all year long, catering to riders of all skill levels (minus weeks of the Race League or Quarterly Members’ Meetings).
April through August: wheels roll at 6:00 as follows:
1st Thurs: McMullen Cove
2nd Thurs: Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access to Redstone required)
3rd Thurs: Chapman Mountain
4th Thurs: Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot ($5 or an annual pass required)
5th Thurs: Free choice - see social media for details!
September and October: wheels roll at 5:30 as follows (lights recommended):
1st Thurs: Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access to Redstone required)
2nd Thurs: John Hunt Park
3rd Thurs: Space and Rocket Center Aviation Challenge parking lot
4th Thurs: Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot ($5 or an annual pass required - fireside hangout after - BYOB)
5th Thurs: Free choice - see social media for details!
November through March: wheels roll at 6:00 as follows (lights required):
1st Thurs: Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access to Redstone required)

Saturdays
Second Saturday Ladies’ Ride
Ladies, join us the second Saturday of every month (unless otherwise noted) for an all-skill levels-welcome ride just for you! Wheels roll at 9:00 AM from locations below each month (subject to change based on weather/trail conditions)! We’ll split into groups as necessary and progress as a group all year.
January 20: Space and Rocket Center
February 10: Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot
March 9: day trip to Arnold Air Force Base
April 13: Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access required)
May 4: BONUS Ride for International Women’s MTB Day at Monte Sano State Park!
May 11: Monte Sano State Park bikers parking lot (this is also a backup date for our Women’s MTB Day!)
June 8: Chapman Mountain
July 13: Space and Rocket Center
August 10: day trip to Enterprise in Chattanooga
September 14: John Hunt Park
October 12: Join us at the HAMR Fall Fest for a Ladies-only ride!
November 9: Redstone Arsenal Madkin Mountain Road parking lot (access required)
December 14: Chapman Mountain
